Our Showground is over 10 acres. We have a clubhouse with toilet facilities and seating for up to 50 people. Our Cafe serves sensibly priced hot & cold snacks, drinks and confectionary. We run seven Points Shows per season plus seven Dressage Shows, at each of the shows our members are awarded points when they are placed 1st – 6th and once they have attended four shows these points count towards the end of season Championship for each class with lovely Trophies to the winners and keepsake trophies to fourth place. We also hold a non-points Qualifiers Show and an Annual One Day Event. Our Showground has four showing rings plus an excellent Working Hunter course and a fully equipt Show Jumping ring. We have hard standing for boxes and trailers & ample spectator parking close to the rings.

Many former members of Longton Riding Club have gone on to do great things such as Samantha Murray – London 2012 Olympics silver medallist in the Modern Pentathlon and Peter Murphy, an accredited British 3 Day Event Team Show Jumping Trainer, also competed at Longton and brought his two sons, Robert and Michael to the Riding Club as they were going up through the levels.

Longton benefits from having a tireless committee with a long serving Chairman, Mick Cookson who has been more than instrumental in the motivation of both the senior and junior membership.
